PROUD MAMA

I am such a proud mama!! So I am going to brag a little bit on my big boy Camden. For his birthday he got about $70.00. It, of course, was burning a hole into his pocket. So we headed to Mardel, a local christian book store. While in mardel, Camden decided on a biblically based computer game for $20.00.
I was shocked that he did not want to spend the rest of his money. THEN...... he turned to Owen and Emma with NO prompting and asked them if they wanted to pick out something for themselves. HOW SWEET IS THAT?
He was so proud to pay for things for them. Not to mention, I was almost in tears while watching all of this take place.

PUMPKIN PATCH

This past weekend we took the kids to the pumpkin patch to get their pumpkins to carve. We chose a patch that gives all the profits to local mission work. They had lots of fun. Stay tuned for pictures of the actual pumpkin carving!!!!

MEDIEVAL TIMES

Camden decided that instead of having a birthday party with his friends, he wanted to chose one friend to take to Dallas to the Medieval Times Dinner Show. This is the place where you eat with your hands and enjoy a knights tournament while you are eating. The kids love this place. So..... I of course was all for it!!!! Camden chose his best buddy Anthony to go with him and they had a great time.. even the two hour drive there and back! Owen and Emma got to hang out with Adam and Jody and their daughter Isabella (and baby Aaron) for their fun night!! Adam and Jody are Anthony's parents.

EIGHT YEARS AGO TODAY

Eight years ago right at this minute I was pushing away trying to get my first son to make his grand appearance. 11:59am, October 6th in Sumter, South Carolina.... in a base hospital, with a failed epidural X 3 and 48 hours of labor!!!! I would do it all over again in a heart beat!!!!!!! It was such a wonderful thing to bring one of God's children into this world. I thank Him everyday for Camden, he truly is a gift!!!

So 8 years ago, we had not gone digital yet, so this is the youngest pic of Camden on the computer!!!

OUR PRINCESS

Emma thought she needed her picture taken after all the photos we took of Owen at Jeet Kune Do. So I took a whole bunch of pictures right after another while she was dancing. This is what we came up with. (She thinks they are great)

Trying to take a picture of herself.

Chicken dance???

KARATE KID II

Now that Owen has turned 4, he gets to start Jeet Kune Do. It is a very easy going class, that basically allows them to have fun while learning a few basics of Jeet Kune Do. Owen is thrilled to start and I have no doubt he will catch up to Camden quickly, since Camden taught him most of what he knows!!! Some of the pics are blurry, because they are taken through a window.

Owen, right before his first class!!

Preparing for his first "bowing in".

I am pretty sure he is having fun!

Push up time!

2 weeks later... he received his first stripe!!!

PARTY DAY

The twins had their 4th birthday party on Saturday. They were so excited when the Tumble Bus pulled up in front of our house to entertain them and their friends!!! They each were able to invite four friends (totally their choice). The Tumble Bus staff entertained all the kids for an hour and then we had a pinata and cake in the garage. So not only did I not have to clean my house before the party.... I did not have to clean afterwards either!! Owen and Emma had a great party!!

Owen and Emma on the Tumble Bus

Can you guess who had trouble blowing out the candles? If you guessed it was Emma, you are actually right..... took her about 5 tries to get her aim right!

Here is the Tumble Bus at the end of our drive!

Emma's 4th Birthday cake...... (my black icing finally turned out... thanks to my sis for the tips)
