INDEPENDENCE DAY

Hope you all had a wonderful Fourth!! I know we did! My sister and her family flew in for the week. We spent one night in Dallas and went to the Knights Tournament!!! Then we came back to Wichita Falls and had the Gordon's down for some traditional Fourth chili dogs... (not really a tradition, just sounded good) The fourth was complete with family, friends, swimming, food and of course fireworks!!! THANKS JENN and JENN for spending the Fourth with us!

MORE SWIMMIN

We are living in our pool. Not really, but we are in it everyday!!! It is so hot here and it is only June! FYI: anyone ever planning on moving to Texas, be sure to save some money to buy a house with a pool!!!!!! Anyway, here are some fun action shots of the kids! Emma will not let us throw her yet!

FISHING FUN

On the way back from our trip to Indiana we stopped in Missouri and camped for three nights. We all had a great time. We even tried out our trout fishing skills..... sorry to report we have NO trout skills. Guess we are more bass fisherman!! The kids had fun trying. Camden tried hard and talked to everyone he could with in range, Owen threw lots of rocks and bobbers in the water and Emma soaked up some sun!!! I love my kids' three personalities!

FLOODING

Did you see the news about all the flooding in the mid west this June? We traveled to Indiana a couple of weeks ago and barely made it to my parents house. The interstates were closed and the road we drove in on closed about an hour after we got there. A person just cannot understand what a flood is like unless they see it in person. I wish I would have taken a few pictures of everyones trash they had sitting out in front of their houses after the water had gone down!!! The damage was sad and unbelievable!!! Please pray for all of the families, in the many states that have been effected by the floods this summer!

GROVES' BABY

Welcome to the world...... Aaron William Groves, born on May 28th!!!! Proud parents are Adam and Jody Groves, big brother Anthony and big sister Isabella!!! I was very honored to be a part of their special day, watching Aaron enter the world!!! God is awesome!

OUR KARATE KID

A year ago, almost exactly, Camden began doing martial arts. The form he does is called Jeet Kune Do. It is truly amazing to see how a childs confidence is built through martial arts. Camden has now completed his white, yellow, orange and green belts. He is now a blue belt. He is proud and he has the strut to prove it!

SOCCER

Camden played soccer this spring and he really enjoyed it! These are a few pics of him in action. He loved being the defense guy that stood a little in front of the goalie. He would kick the ball so hard to keep it away from the goal!!! He will play again this fall... this time daddy being his coach!
